Volvo Penta issues limited engine recall
Volvo Penta has issued a recall of some of its D3 engines after it was discovered that an incorrect alloy was used in their construction.

The company told MBM around 57 engines are affected by the defect, which makes the engines' injector yoke susceptible to breakage.

This could lead to fuel leaking, which presents a fire hazard. Volvo said it was not aware of any fires or explosions caused by this defect.

All affected boaters should have received a recall letter from the company, but if you're concerned you're urged to call your local Volvo dealer.

The remedial service will be conducted for free, and should take around two hours.
